Feeder Calculator
Calculate livestock feed requirements for cattle, horses, sheep, and other animals. Determine feed amounts based on animal type, weight, and feeding duration.
Step 1: Animal Specifications
Feed Requirement Formula
Daily Feed = Body Weight × Feeding Rate (%)
Total Feed = Daily Feed × Number of Animals × Days
Step 2: Feed Specifications
Typical Feeding Rates
Cattle: 2-3% of body weight
Horses: 1.5-2.5% of body weight
Sheep/Goats: 2-4% of body weight
Pigs: 3-5% of body weight

Feed Requirement Formulas
Daily Feed = Body Weight × (Feeding Rate / 100)
Where:
• Body Weight = Weight of animal in pounds
• Feeding Rate = Percentage of body weight (typically 1.5-5%)
• Daily Feed = Feed required per animal per day
Total Feed Calculation:
• Total Feed = Daily Feed × Number of Animals × Feeding Days
Conversions:
• Kilograms = Pounds × 0.4536
• Tons = Pounds ÷ 2000
• Bales = Pounds ÷ Average Bale Weight (typically 40-60 lbs)
Example Calculation
Example: 5 Cattle for 30 Days
Animal Weight: 1,200 lbs
Feeding Rate: 2.5%
Number of Animals: 5
Feeding Days: 30
Calculation:
Daily Feed per Animal = 1,200 × 0.025 = 30 lbs
Total Daily Feed = 30 × 5 = 150 lbs
Total Feed = 150 × 30 = 4,500 lbs
Converted:
4,500 lbs = 2.25 tons = 2,041 kg
