Battery Bank Size (Ah) = (Daily Load × Days Autonomy) ÷ (DoD × System Voltage)
Daily load in watt-hours. Days autonomy is backup days required. DoD is Depth of Discharge (0.5 for lead acid, 0.8-0.9 for lithium). Multiply by 1.2 for 20% safety margin.
