Heating Capacity = Room Volume × Temperature Difference × Insulation Factor ÷ 3.413
To calculate heating requirements: Multiply room volume (cubic feet) by temperature difference (desired temp – outside design temp) and insulation factor, then divide by 3.413 to convert BTU to watts.
