Mean Arterial Pressure Calculator
Calculate your Mean Arterial Pressure (MAP) to monitor cardiovascular health. Understand your blood pressure readings and their implications for organ perfusion.
Step 1: Blood Pressure Readings
Understanding Blood Pressure Readings
Systolic pressure is the pressure when your heart beats. Diastolic pressure is the pressure when your heart rests between beats. Normal blood pressure is typically around 120/80 mmHg.

About Mean Arterial Pressure
Mean Arterial Pressure (MAP) is the average pressure in your arteries during one cardiac cycle. It’s a better indicator of perfusion to vital organs than systolic or diastolic pressure alone.

MAP Interpretation & Recommendations
MAP Calculation Formula
MAP = Diastolic BP + 1/3(Pulse Pressure)
Where Pulse Pressure = Systolic BP – Diastolic BP. Alternatively: MAP = (2 × Diastolic BP + Systolic BP) ÷ 3. MAP of 70-100 mmHg is generally considered normal for organ perfusion.
