Paver Base Installation Guide
Step 1: Excavation
Excavate area to proper depth (paver thickness + base depth + sand layer).
Example: For 2″ pavers + 4″ base + 1″ sand = 7″ total excavation.
Step 2: Base Installation
Add base material in 2-inch layers, compacting each layer thoroughly.
Tip: Use plate compactor for best results. Moisten material slightly before compacting.
Step 3: Sand Layer
Add 1-inch layer of coarse sand or stone dust. Level carefully.
Note: Do not compact sand layer – it provides bedding for pavers.
Step 4: Paver Installation
Lay pavers in desired pattern. Cut edges as needed.
Tip: Use polymeric sand between joints for stability and weed prevention.
